About the Service Logo
The summer service logo design is based on Psalm 48. The psalm pictures Zion as the city of God.
"The whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. God is known in her palaces for a refuge."(Psalm 48:2-3)
In the logo, the city is symbolized by the dome rising over its people. The arch also pictures Christ, who lives in the city of God. The city is built of living stones, of the children of God. The security of this city is assured by Christ Jesus, who dwells by faith in the hearts of God’s children.
The logo's vivid colors convey the message of comfort and security through the written and spoken Word of God made evident within the city.
"As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it forever."(Psalm 48:8)
This psalm relates of the gracious works of God exalting His goodness and guidance.
"According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness. Mark ye well her (Zion's) bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following. For this God is our God for ever and ever."(Psalm 48:10, 13-14)
Even the sermons preached at the summer services convey the same good message and confidence in the care of the Heavenly Father.
