How We Believe
The Conservative Laestadian teaching is based upon the Bible and Lutheran Confession. Center most is the sermon of the suffering, death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ continues his work in the world today through the work of the Holy Spirit in his congregation.
We teach that God justifies man through the Holy Spirit in his congregation. God has given his children the office of reconciliation, which is the office of the Holy Spirit. They use this authority to proclaim the Gospel unto all created according to the mission command of Jesus. The core of the Gospel is the remission of sins, which is proclaimed in the name and blood of Jesus. He who believes all their sins forgiven receives this through the grace of God. For faith cometh by hearing and hearing through the word of God.
We conform to the key principle of the Reformation, which maintains that the Bible is the ultimate authority in matters of faith and life. We believe that man is justified, or made acceptable to God, only by faith, by grace and by the merit of Christ.
