International Visitor Service

The International Visitor Service provides services for non-Finnish-speaking Summer Services guests from other countries. The largest groups of visitors come from Russia and Estonia. Service guests also traditionally arrive from Sweden, the USA, and Canada, and in recent many have also come from several African countries.

The International Visitor Service functions as a meeting place for foreigners and an information point. The sermons at the services are interpreted into sign language, Swedish, English, Russian, Estonian, German, French, Spanish, and Hungarian. Service guests can listen to the interpreted sermons at the service site with portable radios and earphones that can be loaned from the International Visitor Service.

The interpreted sermons can also be heard online in real time or later as archived sermons at www.suviseurat.fi. The interpreted sermons can be accessed via the program page. The interpretation languages are marked in the service program. Click the flag of a country to hear the interpretation in that language.

The 19 flags in the row of flags represent the countries in which SRK does mission work.

Worship services in English and Swedish will be held on Sunday, July 3. The English worship services will be held at 10 am in the Kemi church. Buses to Kemi will leave from the bus station at the service site. The Swedish worship services will be held at 12 noon in the Haparanda church.
